Rotterdam - Helen L. Kukla, 98 formerly of Rotterdam, died Friday, February 17, 2017, at Our Lady of Mercy Life Center, Guilderland. Helen was born in Schenectady, the daughter of Ralph and Ethel Esposito. She was a graduate of Schenectady High School and the Ellis Hospital School of Nursing. She worked at Ellis Hospital for 37 years, as a nurse before retiring. She was a communicant of the former Our Lady of Fatima Church. She is survived by her daughter Darby Salluzzo of Clifton Park; four grandchildren Katie Lieberman, Michele Patterson, Michael Salluzzo and Marc Salluzzo; six great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Gary W. Kukla. Funeral service, Thursday 9:00 a.m. at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Church, Rosa Road, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. A calling hour will be held at the church an hour prior to the Mass, from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. Interment, Vale Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 2 Pine West Plaza 202, Albany, NY 12205. Arrangements by Daly Funeral Home, Inc., 242 McClellan St., Schenectady, NY.
