Burnt Hills, NY - Susan M. Ross, 63, passed away Thursday October 27, 2022. Susan was born and raised in Scotia, the daughter of the late James and Marge Campbell and was a lifelong area resident. She earned her undergraduate degree from SUNY Geneseo and her Master's degree from the College of St. Rose. Susan went on to work as a speech pathologist for more than 40 years, all of which were spent at Helping Hands Pre-School in Clifton Park. Susan was instrumental in the success of Helping Hands and bettered the lives of hundreds of children throughout her career. She was an avid gardener, bird watcher and cherished her yearly trips to Cape Cod, especially North Truro. Susan met the love of her life Daniel Ross, while they were both working as young adults at Jumpin' Jacks in Scotia. Sadly, Dan predeceased her in 2000. Susan is survived by her daughters: Dani-Leigh (Justin) Storr and Hannah Ross, brothers: Jim (Anne Marie) Campbell and Christopher Campbell, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends - especially her two best friends of nearly 60 years: Elena Reynolds and Ann Piazza. Susan's funeral service will be held Wednesday, 5:00 pm at Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan St., Schenectady, with visitation to continue until 8:00 pm. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.»(Do not delete this line. It does not print. Text that is to appear on web must be entered before this line)
