Obituary of Bruce Richard Fox

Rotterdam - Bruce passed away peacefully on October 19th 2024 from complications of Kidney Disease. He struggled for years but always kept in good spirits. He was born in Schenectady at Ellis Hospital on May 25th, 1941, to George and Marie Fox (Murray). He graduated from Draper High School in 1958 and then enlisted in the U.S. Air Force stationed in Alaska. After marrying his wife, Barbara, of 58 years, he took a job for the New York Air National Guard in 1972, retiring in 1995 as a Senior Master Sergeant. Predeceased by his parents, sisters Pauline Hoffert and Berdena Sohm, and brothers George and Edmond. Survived by his three sons: Richard, Scott, Jeffrey (his Wife Jodi and granddaughters, Maggie and Lynsey) and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He is and will always be missed. The funeral service with military honors will be held Friday, October 25th, 12 noon at Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan St., Schenectady. Calling hours will precede the service from 10 AM to noon. A private burial will be held at a later date at Saratoga National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests you consider a contribution to the St. Jude Children's Hospital, American Kidney Foundation or a charity of your choice in his honor.
